As the Head of Marketing, Ecommerce, for Sobeys Inc., Julie Filion oversees the marketing strategy and execution for Voilà by Sobeys, a new, cutting-edge online grocery delivery service. Launched in the summer of 2020, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and amidst a rising demand for grocery delivery, Voilà is a first-of-its-kind in Canada and has seen exponential growth since it first became available to Canadians. Julie leads everything from brand stewardship, and customer acquisition to loyalty and retention, site experience and customer insights and analytics for Voilà. Prior to joining Sobeys, Julie was Chief Marketing Officer for two US-based start-ups, Door.com and ID.me, where she was accountable for all aspects of sales and marketing. Filion holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University in Canada.
