Kathy Davey has worked with the Communication and Interior Design team at IKEA Canada since 1989. Starting as an Interior Designer in the North York store and working at IKEA locations across Canada and abroad, Kathy has gained invaluable insights and knowledge about people’s needs, dreams and frustrations and how they live in their homes. She’s had the privilege of working with many skilled co-workers to provide inspirational home furnishing solutions to help Canadians create a better everyday life a home.
As Head of Communication and Interior Design for IKEA Canada, Kathy has a strong passion for home furnishings, democratic design and a genuine interest in people. Kathy is known for her ability to think differently, bringing creative leaders together and empowering others and be bold and brave.

Kathy’s favourite IKEA product: MOMENT steel and glass dining table, designed by Nils Gammelgaard. Inspired by shopping carts, he realized that a similar construction could be used for table frames. She loves it so much, she has it in her home!
