Darren Solomon is Vice President of Marketing at Cineplex, one of Canada’s leading entertainment and media companies. Having previously built and led the in-house content and creative agency at Cineplex, Darren designs solutions to strategic consumer problems by challenging the status quo, leading with creativity, leveraging tech and data, and turning ideas into action. While Darren’s responsible for driving visitors to the core theatrical and digital commerce movie businesses, he also supports the company’s diversification initiatives and is involved at the corporate level in innovation, integration of new businesses, and creating product and service synergies across Cineplex’s ecosystem. Darren has more than 20 years of experience in the media industry. Previously, he led Canada’s most-watched entertainment news television program and had various roles in news programming. He is a former board member for IHAF, conference advisor and multi-disciplinary judge with the Canadian Marketing Association, and guest speaker at conferences and universities.
