As the Director of Marketing for Best Buy Canada, Tara leads the company’s growing Retail Media business, Best Buy Media Network, as well as all retail marketing, coop marketing, and marketing operations. At Best Buy, Tara has led digital transformation within marketing, including the adoption of Agile practices and cross-functional Digital Retail teams, as well as the shift to a digital-first advertising and communication strategy. She is a champion for digital transformation, Agile marketing and data & technology-driven marketing. Tara began her career in strategy, working for the global consulting firm, Bain & Company. At Bain, Tara discovered her passion for retail. From there, Tara joined Shoppers Drug Mart to help lead the design & implementation of a major repositioning strategy and has since worked with numerous retailers and consumer brands, both as a consultant and head of marketing. Currently based in Vancouver, Tara is an outdoor adventurist who loves to ski, paddle, hike, cycle and travel.
