The health, safety and well-being of attendees is our top priority. We are paying close attention to direction from the World Health Organization, Public Health Agency of Canada, and Toronto Public Health on the specifics of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Government of Canada has expanded its travel health notices. Please ensure you have the latest information and advice before departing your country of origin. At this time, there are no programming changes scheduled for DX3 Canada 2020 and it will continue as planned.
Read the fact sheet from Toronto Public Health for advice and information.
In addition to regular health and safety procedures, the following additional measures will be implemented at DX3 Canada 2020:
- Increased cleaning and disinfection of all surfaces and handrails repeatedly throughout the day.
- Increased availability of alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Signage reminding attendees of hygiene recommendations.
These measures are above and beyond what the Ministry of Public Health is currently recommending and we continue to monitor the situation closely and will adapt plans accordingly.
Whether travelling locally or from abroad, healthy habits should be practiced at all times. During seasons with a higher risk of illness, follow these precautionary steps to help prevent the spread of infection:
- Thoroughly wash hands or use alcohol-based sanitizer
- Cover mouth and nose when coughing, sneezing or blowing nose. Put used tissue in the garbage. If no tissue available, cough or sneeze into sleeve, not hands.
- Stay up-to-date on vaccinationsAvoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness
- Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
